## Job DescriptionAHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full and Part-Time Day Program Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for multiple Bronx Day Programs.DATE & TIME: TUESDAY MARCH 31st from 10AM-1PMLOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.FULL-TIME POSITIONS: Pay Rate: $18 - $20.20 per hour depending on driving status and AMAP certification. In addition, this position comes with a very generous and comprehensive Benefit packet. • Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits.
• Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities.
• Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book.## Qualifications
• Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred
• Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
