What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agriculture Marketing Specialist (Regulatory) position at Agricultural Marketing Service?
Serves as an agricultural marketing specialist within the hemp program and is responsible for implementing and administering all aspects of the AMS hemp program regulations with responsibility for policy development and revision, licensing, and compliance for the Hemp Branch.
FOR THE GS-09 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR; LL.M., if related.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.

Qualifications:

- Coordinates licensing, record keeping, sampling, testing, and agriculture growing requirements.
- Uses virtual meeting software, email to arrange/secure meeting spaces and inspection appointments in support of Ag inspection team.
- Provides support for agriculture presentations on rules and guidance.
OR master's or equivalent graduate degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR LL.B. or J.D., if related
FOR THE GS-11 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:- Coordinates and supports the audits/inspections of agriculture programs for compliance with regulations.
- Uses good judgment in interpreting agriculture guidelines/policies during field, desk inspections.
- Enforces provisions of laws and regulations designed to regulate agricultural production. Interviews farmers.
OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR; LL.M., if related.
