What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Marketing Specialist (General) position at Agricultural Marketing Service?
Support all Rulemaking Services Branch processes by: writing and editing regulatory text to ensure compliance with regulatory clearance standards; collaborating effectively with key internal and external stakeholders; accurately interpreting regulations; actively supporting clearance processes and providing timely response to leadership requests for regulatory activities; offering policy and procedural recommendations as needed; and working collaboratively on the routine review and assessments.
FOR THE GS-11 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 grade level) that demonstrates:
- Develop and write agricultural related documents (inspection reports do not substitute for developing or writing agricultural or government related documents).
- Analyze, track and summarize agriculture or government reports, regulation, and/or rules.
- Communicate information in writing and verbally with members of industry-related individuals, representatives of other Programs, Boards or Committees, or other similar Federal Advisory Committees.
- Support rulemaking clearance activities such as data gathering, responding to questions from team members, other Program areas, Boards and Committees, stakeholders, and leadership officials about rulemaking activities.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.
