Service Technician-Outside of Office

We are seeking a Service Technician/outside of office for our Colorado branch (potatoes and onions). This is a full-time position.  Pay is negotiable depending on experience with productive bonus incentives upon completion of a 90-day probationary period. This position will cross-over between our Service and Application department. This position will generally be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. During our busy Harvest Season, overtime will be required based on customer's needs and weekend and evening work can be expected. Overtime pay is calculated at regular hourly rate, times 1.5, for any hours worked over 40 per week.

As a member of our skilled team, you will need to be able to do the following:

• Some Electrical knowledge and experience needed.  We prefer experience in Controls & Refrigeration but willing to provide training for the right person.
• Prefer an applicant that can read/follow a wiring Schematic.
  
• Climbing ladders to remove fan screens, etc. and other physical activity for job preparation.
• Climbing on top of potato / onion piles to acquire information such as temperature readings, as well as place flags.
• Working outside and in the cellar's, within the Weather conditions.
• Assisting the Service Department with installs and service calls.
• Assisting the Service Department with Storage Pre-Season and startups.
• Assisting other custom applicators with their duties, if needed.
• Setting up Chemical application machines when needed, maintaining chemical levels, and monitoring equipment during applications, for potatoes and onion storages.
• Cleaning work area of storage facility upon application completion.
• Applicant is required to obtain a Certified Operators Chemical License through CDA within a 90-day grace period (by Fall Season).

Our insurance company requires drug testing and background checking. You will need to have a valid driver's license and carry a good acceptable driving record, as you will be driving a company vehicle. The job requires lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis, and overtime hours and weekends are required as we respond to the busy harvest season.
