Canyon Falls Farm is seeking a capable Mechanic to join our farm shop team!
Summary:
The Mechanic I supports routine maintenance and basic repairs of farm/ranch equipment under close supervision. Focuses on skill-building, safety, and learning diagnostics fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, filters, inspections).
- Complete basic repairs (tires, brakes, minor hydraulic/electrical fixes) with guidance.
- Assist senior mechanics with complex repairs and component replacements.
- Support basic diagnostics using standard tools and checklists.
- Help prepare equipment for safe operation and seasonal readiness.
- Accurately complete work orders and document activities in maintenance systems.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, SDS).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 1 year of relevant experience. Basic mechanical aptitude; willingness to learn.
- Exposure to welding/fabrication preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- First Aid and CPR card.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Position is based on regular farm / ranch schedule of 40-60 hours per week.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and shift work.

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, and respirators, will be provided as required by law and company policy. Employees are required to properly use designated PPE when tasks require it.
