AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a capable Accountant to join our corporate finance team!
Summary:
The Accountant I is a member of the local accounting & finance team. The role is responsible for data entry, reconciliation, journal entries and following established accounting processes and rules and supports management efforts by providing timely and relevant information for decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry and validation of financial data.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and/or inventory ensuring deadlines are met.
- Make basic journal entries. Follow established accounting processes and rules.
- May generate reports as directed. AP & AR review.
- Collaborate with finance team on timely and accurate financial information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1 years of experience (cost accounting experience preferred).
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting practices, and basic financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze financial data and support decision-making.
- Experience with general ledger functions (journal entries, reconciliations).
- Proficiency with accounting systems and standard tools (e.g., Excel).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or on a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Adaptable, motivated, and open to improvement.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Willing and able to work on-site at the SLC Corporate Headquarters during standard weekday office hours.
