The Role
This is a custom role for someone who wants to sit right next to the engine. You'll do two things at once: take work off the CEO's plate so he can focus on what only he can do, and build the pipeline that feeds the business by finding, opening, and warming up new opportunities.
You'll be the one who finds potential customers, reaches out cold, sparks their interest, and lines them up for a conversation or demo with our Sales team, who steps in to close. Behind that, you'll keep the CRM honest, work the leads coming out of marketing, and build the process that makes all of it repeatable.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO and our Business Transformation team to start and develop this function from scratch, which means real ownership, real autonomy, and the room to build it your way. We want someone who works independently, takes initiative, and doesn't wait to be told what to do next.

What You'll Own
Right hand to the CEO
- Work directly with the CEO on his day-to-day tasks and priorities, taking work off his plate so he can focus on leading the business.
Build the pipeline
- Find and research potential leads that fit AGOL's target customers.
- Run outbound that works: cold emails and cold calls that spark interest and start real conversations.
- Qualify prospects and book demos and conversations for the Sales team to close.
- Work and nurture the leads coming in from marketing campaigns and events.
- Keep the CRM clean and current, with every lead, status, and next step logged.
Build the function
- Design the processes, SOPs, and SLAs that make outbound repeatable and scalable.
- Stand up the business development function from the ground up alongside the CEO and the Business Transformation team.
What We're Looking For
- 6 years in business development, sales development, or a CEO-support / chief-of-staff role, or a blend of both.
- Hands-on outbound experience: prospecting, cold email, and cold calling that actually books meetings.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and dialers for managing and working leads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You can open a cold conversation and keep it warm.
- Highly organized, able to juggle the CEO's priorities and your own pipeline without dropping either.
- A builder's mindset, able to design process and structure where none exists.
- A go-getter and self-starter: creative, adaptable, and comfortable working in uncharted territory.
- Strong command of the Microsoft 365 / Office suite.
Nice to Have
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
- Experience supporting a founder or executive directly.
- Experience in sales and relationship management.
