JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting and Human Resource Specialist (AHRS) manages daily bookkeeping, payroll processing, and provides administrative support for HR functions. This role maintains accurate financial records, P&L reporting, reconciliations, prepares audit documentation, and handles HR processes such as onboarding, enrollment, and recordkeeping.
Bookkeeping
· Support organizational financial recordkeeping by generating invoices, making journal entries, maintaining QuickBooks records, and supplying information to the owner for month-end reporting and reconciliations.
· Ensure all records are complete and organized in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Principal Responsibilities:
· Maintain orderly and precise accounting records and filing systems.
· Record cash receipts and monitor accounts receivable.
· Process accounts payable promptly.
· Provide all essential financial information and supporting documentation, along with monthly reconciliations and reports.
· Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual budget.
· Provide monthly P&L reports
Human Resource and Payroll
· Offer clerical and administrative HR support, including payroll processing for 1099 contractors, onboarding paperwork, benefits enrollment, and recordkeeping. All HR policy, investigations, and employment-related decisions are managed by the Executive Director.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Process weekly payroll efficiently and on schedule.
· Maintain HR and payroll files, records, and databases.
· Assist with new hire onboarding, including W-9 verification and background check processing.
· Reconcile payroll and prepare year end payroll-summary reports (1099' and 1096 for federal reports
· Help with job postings, interview scheduling, and preparation of new hire files.
· Provide clerical support for performance review processes, tracking forms and deadlines.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
