Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Inspector to join our clients manufacturing team. The Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring that products meet strict quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports the objectives of the Quality Management System (QMS) by inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods. The Quality Inspector will use precision measurement tools, interpret technical specifications, and work closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications and requirements.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections, including first article and setup part verification with tight tolerances.
- Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to confirm product dimensions.
- Interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical drawings for inspection purposes.
- Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for the Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Identify non-conforming materials, segregate, and document findings; place defective items on hold.
- Support quality engineers in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Audit products and processes in line with quality instructions and criteria.
- Assist with basic tool calibrations and ensure proper equipment function.
- Collaborate with production teams (Leads, Setters, and Machine Operators) to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide sorting assistance for suspect products and support containment activities when needed.
- Maintain calibration for test fixtures and tooling per specifications
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or quality-related certifications preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or quality inspection role strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical drawings, and material specifications.
- Skilled in the use of measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects with precision.
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, data entry software).
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to support corrective action efforts.
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
