Salesforce QA Engineer
Location/Remote: Hybrid in Denver, CO (3 days per month onsite).
Employment Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire (W-2).
Compensation: $60–$65/hour (commensurate with experience)

This QA Engineer role focuses on delivering reliable, high-quality web and platform features through a balanced mix of automation and hands-on testing. You will build and evolve automated test frameworks, validate APIs, and ensure strong coverage across critical user and system workflows, including within the Salesforce ecosystem. Success in this role requires strong execution with Selenium/Java, clear defect ownership from discovery through resolution, and consistent communication of coverage and risk.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks for web applications to improve coverage and reduce release risk.
- Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium and Java, including smoke, regression, and end-to-end suites.
- Design and perform API testing for RESTful and SOAP services using tools such as Postman or Parasoft SOATest.
- Validate functionality, integrations, and data behavior within the Salesforce ecosystem to ensure platform stability and business continuity.
- Define QA approaches for upcoming work by creating clear test scenarios and execution plans aligned to delivery milestones.
- Identify, reproduce, and document defects with actionable diagnostics, then drive them through triage, verification, and closure.
- Communicate test coverage, product risks, and technical issues to engineering partners and business stakeholders with timely, practical recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and scaling automated testing frameworks for web applications.
- Test automation expertise using Selenium and Java in real-world delivery environments.
- Experience testing RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or Parasoft SOATest.
- Experience testing within the Salesforce ecosystem, including validating Salesforce-based workflows and integrations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with version control workflows using Git.
- Experience defining and implementing QA strategy, including comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios across the SDLC.
- Strong understanding and practical application of TDD and BDD methodologies.
- Experience using Jira and TestRail for requirements traceability and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and running automated builds with Jenkins.
- Strong manual QA fundamentals, including regression testing and test design techniques.
- Ability to communicate test coverage, risks, and technical issues clearly to technical teams and business stakeholders.
