AGC Glass Company North America is seeking a Manufacturing Production Team Leader to support daily production operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production associates and leadership to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met in accordance with standard operating procedures.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership on the production floor, mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day‑to‑day line leadership and direction to production associates
- Support daily production schedules to meet customer, quality, and safety requirements
- Train and coach associates to maintain optimal quality, efficiency, and uptime
- Perform and assist with minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Conduct required quality checks and inspections
- Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and inventory transactions
- Assist with process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and support environmental, health, and safety practices
- Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S principles
- Provide coverage and support for absences and operational needs
- Communicate effectively across all levels of production and leadership
- Work flexible hours, shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership or team‑lead experience strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to train, coach, and influence others without direct supervisory authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to support production needs
