What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Trading position at AFS Energy B.V.?
For an experienced trader who looks beyond just the P&L. As Director Trading, you are the linchpin between strategy, execution and risk. You monitor the quality of our market making on the Client Portal and maintain an overview of both outright and facilitating positions. You can understand complex trading structures, assess them critically and adjust where necessary. You assess outright positions taken by the product desks and keep control of the facilitating positions that result from them. In doing so, you act as the substantive point of contact between Front Office, Legal and Risk, and liaise directly with the Managing Director on complex or non-standard trades. You ensure that speed, commercial clout and risk discipline remain in balance.

Key responsibilities
Monitoring market making on the Client Portal,
Assessing the taking of outright positions by product desks,
Maintaining control over facilitating positions,
Acting as the point of contact between FO, Legal and Risk on the one hand and assessing complex trades on the other.
Proven track record as a senior trader in financial assets and/or commodities and/or environmental certificates
More than 5 years’ experience
Preferably arbitrage and/or market making experience
Experience with risk and risk models
Analytical skills
