Role: Sonographer
Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, assess and differentiate normal and abnormal findings, analyze sonograms, and communicate results to physicians. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while maintaining equipment, supplies, and lab accreditation standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams, document patient interactions, and support operational needs. Address patient care issues, provide education, and assist in maintaining compliance with policies such as OSHA and HIPAA.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, completed a diagnostic sonography program, and at least one year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience. ARDMS certification required, with a preference for perinatology experience. Must operate sonographic equipment effectively, evaluate images accurately, communicate clearly, and maintain professionalism. Current BLS CPR certification and OB/GYN specialty RDMS credential within 12 months of hire are necessary.
