Role: Medical Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing, evaluating, and monitoring a variety of laboratory tests across multiple specialties, including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and transfusion services.
Responsibilities: Conduct tests per protocols, adjust workflow, evaluate results for clinical relevance, and report findings following policies.
Maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory instruments; recognize and correct malfunctions.
Ensure quality control and assurance, reviewing results and taking corrective actions when needed.
Collect properly labeled specimens from patients of all ages and provide technical guidance and training to staff, students, and trainees.
Assist in improving lab procedures, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and participate in proficiency testing.
Support critical care labs with timely results during high-acuity events, including transfusions and mass casualty procedures.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field; certification as an MT or MLS (ASCP or AMT) within one year.
Excellent communication, ability to work under stress, and flexibility.
Ability to handle physical demands and operate lab equipment safely.
