Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced IFS ERP Solution Architect to play a lead, client-side role in a large-scale IFS Cloud implementation. This position will serve as the design authority for the program, ensuring a clean-core, configuration-first, and upgrade-safe solution aligned with IFS best practices and the client’s process manufacturing and operational requirements.
The Solution Architect will lead solution design across core ERP and process manufacturing processes, facilitate onsite design workshops, govern architectural decisions, and act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders throughout implementation, go-live, and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
1 Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for IFS ERP across in-scope modules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IFS Cloud best practices
2 Act as the design authority and clean-core (CRIM) gatekeeper, governing configuration versus customization decisions and ensuring upgrade-safe architecture
3 Facilitate and lead onsite design workshops, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder review sessions
4 Translate business and operational requirements into standard IFS configurations, minimizing customizations and managing deviations through formal change governance
5 Provide architectural leadership for manufacturing and process manufacturing scenarios, including BOMs, routings, batch/lot traceability, yield variance, and MTO production models
6 Oversee and guide integration architecture, data migration strategy, reporting design, and cutover readiness
7 Collaborate closely with functional, technical, integration, and testing teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery
8 Support testing cycles, go-live planning, and hypercare activities from an architectural and design perspective
9 Serve as a client-facing advisor, supporting decision-making, risk mitigation, and solution alignment throughout the program
Required Qualifications
1 Strong hands-on experience as an IFS ERP Solution Architect, including system configuration and solution design
2 Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale IFS implementations in a lead or design authority role
3 Deep experience with process manufacturing environments, including process manufacturing, batch/lot traceability, and production planning concepts
4 Demonstrated experience enforcing clean-core, configuration-first, and upgrade-safe IFS Cloud solutions
5 Solid understanding of IFS integrations, data migration approaches, and reporting architecture
6 Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
7 Ability and willingness to work onsite in Orange, CA for the duration of the engagement
8 Exposure to IFS Cloud implementations or upgrade programs strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
1 Experience with hybrid manufacturing models (process discrete)
2 Prior involvement in CRIM governance, change control, and design sign-off processes
3 Familiarity with barcode scanning, inventory traceability, and shop-floor execution in IFS
4 Experience supporting contract-to-hire or long-term transformation programs
