Daily responsibilities include originating and structuring mortgage loans, collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, and coordinating with processing, underwriting, and closing teams. The person in this role will explain loan options and terms in clear, accessible language, help clients select appropriate products, and ensure files meet regulatory and investor requirements. Additional duties include networking with referral partners, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products and guidelines, tracking applications in the LOS system, and meeting individual production and compliance goals.

Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the mortgage industry and mortgage lending practices, including current products, regulations, and investor guidelines.
- Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage origination role, with a track record of managing a loan pipeline from application through closing.
- Familiarity with underwriting principles, documentation requirements, and risk assessment to package complete, compliant loan files.
- Proven customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and guide clients through complex financial decisions.
- Active NMLS license (or eligibility to obtain), and compliance with all state and federal lending regulations.
- Comfort with mortgage LOS, CRM tools, and standard office software for managing leads, applications, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple loans and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating in-office in Worthington, OH and working independently from home.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
