Portermill, is part of DSM Concessions LLC, which operates all the food and beverage at the Des Moines International Airport. We offer a unique opportunity to not only work and help run the kitchen, but also to be an integral part of our growth. Even though air travel is down, Portermill is a very strong concept that needs a hands on culinary professional to work side by side with their kitchen staff and help us grow as air travel picks up.

Responsibilities:

· Excellent day-to-day, shift-to-shift and guest-to-guest BOH (“Back of House”) operations

· Lead the BOH team by setting them up for success, leading by example, setting high standards and delegating to & developing the BOH team

· Create a safe, fun and clean environment

· Recruit, orientate and train great BOH people

· Lead, schedule, train, manage, coach and review BOH employees.

· Meet expectations on quality, cleanliness, Food Cost, BOH Labor Costs and BOH Controllable Costs

· Ensure the safety and security of employees, guests and company assets

· Order product, inventory food products for BOH

· Communicate openly, clearly and effectively with a positive, solutions-oriented demeanor.

· Must be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), HotSchedules and other digital resources.

· 3 years applicable management experience.

· Provide daily coaching, counseling, training and development of all team members

Pay: $68,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Restaurant management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Kitchen management: 3 years (Preferred)
