As our Quality Engineer, you'll serve as a key partner to Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to improve product quality, strengthen supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll spend time both on the manufacturing floor and working directly with suppliers to solve real-world challenges.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance plans, inspection methods, and quality standards
- Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, audits, and ongoing performance evaluations
- Investigate product quality issues, supplier concerns, and nonconforming materials
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving methodologies
- Implement corrective and preventive actions that deliver lasting improvements
- Monitor supplier performance metrics including PPM, delivery performance, and quality trends
- Support new product launches through PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and APQP activities
- Manage supplier scorecards, inspection documentation, audit reports, and quality records
- Partner cross-functionally to reduce defects, improve processes, and enhance overall product reliability
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
- Three or more years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier development
- Working knowledge of quality tools including:
- 8D
- FMEA
- PPAP
- APQP
- SPC
- MSA
- Experience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Manufacturing experience involving aluminum fabrication, cast components, or truck and trailer products

- Ability to travel occasionally to supplier locations as business needs require
