Position Summary
This position is responsible for cutting, mounting and polishing samples, as well as microhardness testing.
Essential Functions
- Cut, mount and polish samples to prepare them for micro-hardness testing and microstructure evaluation.
- Perform micro-hardness testing and basic microstructure evaluations.
- Review furnace charts.
- Maintain lab equipment and supplies.
- Support all aspects of production and quality control functions as needed.

Qualifications
- Read and comprehend blueprints, procedures specifications and sampling plans in English.
- Knowledge of basic metallurgical principles, standards, methods and practices is a plus.
- Solid basic math skills required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Some heavy lifting is required.
- Previous experience working for an aerospace company is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation
$40000 - $60000 / year
Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
