Quality Inspector - 1st Shift - (1162)

The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success together.   Position Summary Support manufacturing by inspecting products and processes to meet quality and scheduled goals of the company.   Essential Functions ·         Perform inspection of product. ·         Work in accordance with inspection sheets. ·         Participate in root cause corrective action investigations. ·         Learn and develop hands-on proficiency with inspection processes utilized by the company. ·         Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings or sketches. ·         Prepare inspection reports and document non-conformances. ·         Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling and disposal requirements in accordance with government regulations and company procedures. ·         Maintain a clean work environment in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.   Competencies ·         Technical capacity ·         Communication proficiency ·         Problem-solving / analysis ·         Decision-making ·         Initiative ·         Results-driven   Experience and Education ·         Highly skilled in bench inspection. ·         Ability to work from sketches and use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height stands, indicators, shadow graph and CMM. ·         Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to use sketches and measuring instruments. ·         Subject to complete vision exam per requirements of National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 410.   Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.     Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
