Manufacturing and Process Planner
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing and Process Planner to support production planning, routing, and process execution in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for translating engineering and customer requirements into clear manufacturing plans, work instructions, and process flows that support quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing settings and is comfortable working across engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, routings, travelers, and process documentation
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and customer requirements
- Create and update work instructions to support efficient, repeatable production processes
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to resolve planning issues
- Ensure manufacturing documentation aligns with aerospace quality standards and internal procedures
- Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and continuous improvement efforts
- Review material, tooling, and capacity requirements to support production readiness
- Help identify process risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve flow, quality, and delivery performance
- Maintain accurate records in ERP, MRP, or other production planning systems
- Support audits, traceability requirements, and configuration control as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in manufacturing planning, process planning, production control, or a related role
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, routings, and documentation control
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- Proficiency with ERP, MRP, or manufacturing systems
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Familiarity with AS9100, traceability, configuration management, and quality documentation
- Experience supporting machining, fabrication, assembly, or special process environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or a related field
