Job Overview
Our client, one of the fastest-growing commercial solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies in the nation, is looking to bring on an exceptional Commercial Roofer to support a growing portfolio of solar projects across the state. This role is critical to ensuring the structural integrity and waterproofing of commercial flat roofs in preparation for large-scale solar installations. This is a full-time role with our client.
Job Responsibilities
- Roofing Installation & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair commercial flat roofing systems, specializing in rubber roofing membranes such as EPDM and TPO.
- Torch-Down Application: Safely and effectively utilize torch-down processes to seal seams, install modified bitumen, and ensure absolute watertight integrity on commercial rooftops.
- Site Preparation: Inspect existing roofs for leaks, wear, or structural damage, performing necessary repairs and preparing the surface prior to solar array integration.
- Quality Control: Ensure all roofing work meets strict manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and internal quality standards to prevent future leaks or membrane failures.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards, fall protection protocols, and fire safety measures while operating torches and working at heights.
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- Commercial Roofing Experience: Proven hands-on experience working with commercial flat roofing systems, specifically EPDM, TPO, and other rubber membranes.
- Torch-Down Expertise: Extensive, demonstrable experience safely executing torch-down roofing processes for installation and repair.
- Certifications: A recognized torch safety certification (such as CERTA) is highly preferred and will be prioritized during the selection process.
- Physical Ability: The ability to perform heavy physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs consistently, and work on your feet at varying heights and in diverse weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to sealing, patching, and waterproofing to guarantee long-lasting, leak-free results.
