Senior Accounting Manager

We are partnered with a large manufacturing company who is looking for a Sr. Accounting Manager/Controller. This is a 1st shift, direct hire role with full benefits, 401k, and bonus opportunity.

Job Summary

This person will support the financial operations of the manufacturing facility by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with cost tracking, preparing reports, and helping ensure compliance with company policies. This role works closely with production, purchasing, and accounting teams to support day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations.
• Track manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
• Monitor inventory transactions and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support budget preparation and variance reporting.
• Review production data for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Prepare routine financial and operational reports for management.
• Help ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Work with operations staff to identify and resolve cost-related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 4 years of manufacturing finance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory control and cost accounting concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems.
