Are you a hands-on quality leader looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact? We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and elevate our quality organization within a growing, American-made manufacturing company known for engineering excellence, craftsmanship, and continuous investment in advanced manufacturing technologies.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, this is the top quality position within the organization and offers full ownership of the Quality Management System, supplier quality programs, inspection processes, customer quality initiatives, and cross-functional quality strategy.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the quality organization while driving company-wide quality performance
- Own and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
- Manage supplier quality programs, vendor qualification, incoming inspection, and performance metrics
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive defect prevention and process improvements
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Monitor key quality metrics including FPY, cost of quality, scrap, warranty, and non-conformance trends
- Support customer quality issue resolution and audit readiness
- Train teams on quality tools, SPC, and quality system requirements
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of progressive quality leadership experience within manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems, or related field
- Proven ownership of ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of AIAG standards including PPAP, APQP, SPC, and MSA
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Supplier quality management and vendor development experience
- Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience (RCCM)
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong shop floor presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of poka-yoke and error-proofing methodologies
- Experience with SPC implementation and capability studies
- Familiarity with ERP/MES quality systems integration
- Exposure to 80/20 operational methodologies
