What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Team Lead position at Aegis Worldwide?
SUMMARY:
The Press Brake Team Lead oversees and leads the forming department. This position includes working with brakes, sheer, spot-welder, PEM insert machine, and a roller. The individual must be familiar with safety, operation, and daily maintenance of the equipment. The Team Lead is responsible for directing work among the press Brake operators.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
• Participate in interview and selection process.
• Provide training to new team members.
• Conduct 30/66/90 and annual reviews for each employee.
• Provide feedback and training to employees to develop and enhance skills.
• Monitor attendance and performance and consult with Shop Floor Manager as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own and maintain a full set of inspection and basic tools.
• Set up, use, and shut down all machines in the department.
• Mentor and help train all operators in the department.
• Ensure that all maintenance schedules are performed
• Read and interpret all prints and solve complex parts.
• Attend daily morning meetings with other departments to determine needs and bi-weekly production meetings.
• Keep, organize, and record a log of disciplinary issues.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Press Brake and forming experience for 3 to 5 years required
• Forklift certification required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Proficient reading skills for tape measures, caliper, and other measuring tools.
• Knowledge of how the machines operate.
• Ability to work with others and dependently to complete tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and the screens on the machines.
• Knowledge of how to operate a forklift.
