Aegis Worldwide Maintenance Technician Day Shift Direct Hire Position SummaryOur client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of their production facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food processing or food manufacturing, and a strong understanding of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair in a regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment to minimize downtime.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on processing and packaging equipment.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems (experience with Allen-Bradley or similar systems preferred).Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation in a CMMS system.Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.Assist with facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and building systems as needed.Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and compressed air systems.Working knowledge of electrical systems (24V–480V), VFDs, and basic PLC troubleshooting.Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards in regulated environments.Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, or shift work as required.
