What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Aegis Worldwide?
Aegis is seeking 2 BUYERS to join our clients organization on a 4-6 months temporary basis. Aegis offers paid sick leave for candidates & after 90 days we have benefits for contractors!
The ideal candidate has the following skills & experience:
- 1 years of buying experience
- Manufacturing buying experience
- SAP experience is the biggest requirement. They do not have time for someone to learn SAP from scratch. Hands-on experience using SAP on the procurement/purchasing side, including working within MRP. (Material Requirements planning)
- Experience reviewing/evaluating MRP requirements to determine what materials need to be purchased and when.
- Need to be able to identify the SAP transaction codes (T-codes)
- Hands-on experience with the full purchasing process, including creating/placing POs, vendor confirmations, monitoring orders, expediting materials, and resolving supply/vendor issues.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and ownership, with the ability to work across Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Production, Accounting/AP, and suppliers.
- Other technical abilities – Outlook, Teams, Excel – I would say proficient to advanced level!
Nice to have:
- 3 years of buying experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience purchasing components/materials from outside vendors.
- Previous contract/project experience is completely acceptable given that this is a temporary backfill.
- Degree is not required — relevant SAP and Buyer experience matter much more.
