About The Role
Aegis Sortation is seeking a Revit-focused BIM professional to support the design and coordination of conveyor and automation systems for leading logistics and distribution clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building accurate 3D models, developing Revit content, solving coordination challenges, and helping engineering teams deliver constructible designs. In this role, you’ll get the opportunity to design systems for large Fortune 50 companies in the freight and parcel industry, work on large-scale automated conveyor and sortation systems, and help shape and improve our BIM standards.
Autodesk Revit expertise is the most important qualification for this role. Candidates should have extensive experience developing and managing 3D models within Revit and be comfortable creating families, supporting project setup, and coordinating across disciplines.

What You'll Do
- Create and maintain Revit models for conveyor and material handling systems.
- Develop and manage Revit families, assemblies, and project templates.
- Support clash detection and model coordination activities.
- Coordinate with mechanical, controls, structural, project management, and MEP teams.
- Generate drawings and deliverables from coordinated Revit models.
- Assist with project BIM setup and model organization.
- Conduct quality control checks on BIM models to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM and Revit.
- Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and resolve any issues that arise.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends.
- Associate's degree or higher in Computer Drafting and Design or similar technical program. Equivalent work experience will also be considered as a substitute for education.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of BIM professional experience in Mechanical Conveyor, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Expert-level Autodesk Revit experience required. Candidates without significant Revit experience are unlikely to be successful in this role.
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD, and Navisworks. (Inventor & SolidWorks background is a plus)
- Experience with ACC, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Strong understanding of BIM methodologies and standards.
- Excellent team management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in creating and managing BIM documentation and workflow processes.
- Experience in training staff in BIM processes.
