What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mechanical Reliability position at Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering?
Engineer Reliability. Elevate Performance. Protect People and Planet.
Our mission is to run safe, high-quality, compliant operations while unlocking throughput and efficiency. As a senior mechanical leader in a process or chemical manufacturing environment, you'll architect improvements to equipment and facilities, mentor teams, and institutionalize continuous improvement.
Imagine This
A line is losing uptime to intermittent hydraulic faults. You convene maintenance, operations, and quality, deploy root cause analysis, model solutions in AutoCAD, validate impacts, and present a capital plan with ROI. Within weeks, you implement changes, train the crew, and confirm compliance to governing codes and standards—downtime drops, operators are safer, and quality stabilizes.
Role Highlights
- Lead manufacturing and facility upgrade projects with clear scope, budget control, and ROI accountability.
- Design, test, and iterate on machinery to boost efficiency and reliability.
- Tackle mechanical, motion, and hydraulic issues; guide maintenance and production teams on durable fixes.
- Apply continuous improvement and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of failures.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable codes and standards for products, systems, and processes.
- Develop capital project documentation using TPM tools and the six-step management methodology.
- Deliver training to embed new equipment and processes safely and effectively.
- Provide transparent, routine status reports to stakeholders.
