You walk the production floor, listen to operators, and zero in on issues before they become downtime. A label printer flags a fault—you run initial diagnostics, isolate the cause, and return it to service. A tester needs calibration; you make precision adjustments and document results. Throughout the evening, you act as the go-to link between manufacturing and maintenance/engineering, translating symptoms into actionable fixes and coordinating basic preventive maintenance to keep uptime high. At 10:30 pm, you hand off clean notes so the next team can hit the ground running. Role focus Serve as the first-line diagnostic expert for testers, printers, and related production equipment.Bridge communications between manufacturing personnel and maintenance/engineering teams.Troubleshoot minor technical problems and perform basic preventive maintenance to sustain reliability.Complete equipment setups and adjustments—from simple to complex—to support process stability.Use hand, pneumatic, and power tools; operate small to large machinery and computer-run systems safely.Leverage software for labor/data analysis, MPulse CMMS, cell status board (CSB), and graphing.Work with high concentration and accuracy, following ISO work instructions and test documentation. Schedule and pay Location: Buffalo Grove, ILShift: 2nd shift, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pmHourly rate: $24.00 What you bring Hands-on electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience focused on equipment reliability and improvement.Advanced skill training/certification (e.g., welding, machining, industrial electric circuit wiring, machine/process troubleshooting).Comfort with software tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Computerized Maintenance Management System (MPulse CMMS), Dayforce.Ability to make precision adjustments and care for equipment meticulously.Sound assembly decisions based on prior operation results.Advanced rework and repair capabilities, including fault troubleshooting and complex recovery steps.Ability to comprehend written and spoken English for training, direction, and technical documentation.Experience using visual aids, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, ISO work instructions, and test documentation.Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, push, and pull; lift/transfer up to 25 lbs.Manual dexterity with hand tools, electric/pneumatic tools, and specialized product tooling/fixtures.Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Preferred Technical school degree.Experience with PLCs.Background in industrial maintenance.
