Our AmLaw 100 client is building out its powerhouse Private Investment Funds team, and they’re looking for someone who’s already been in the trenches of fund formation. You’ll be working with top-tier PE, real estate, and tech sponsors who play in the billion-dollar sandbox. This is high-stakes, high-impact work.
What you’ll actually be doing:
Running with private fund formation deals (not just supporting — leading)
Drafting core docs, negotiating with LPs, and making regulatory headaches look easy
Navigating the '33 Act, Investment Company Act, and Investment Advisers Act like a pro
You should bring:
2–5 years at a top firm doing serious fund work
A JD from a strong law school and the confidence to show it
Bar admission in NY, CA, or MA (or close to it)
The mindset of someone who likes to move fast, work smart, and not just follow the playbook
