The role you'll contribute:
The Referral Specialist is responsible for selecting, authorizing, and scheduling appointments and/or procedures for patients who have been referred by the Providers of the Primary Care Network Physicians Group. They must ensure that accurate medical record information is given regarding the patient and that the pertinent payer information is obtained and correct. This position requires the ability to multitask, adequate medical terminology, ability to read and understand insurance cards, ability to read and understand the patients' medical record, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service skills are a MUST, as everyone we encounter is our customer. Working knowledge of a physician office and the workflow of a patient through the office.

- Maintains referral integrity, processes all orders, and communicates with patients and providers.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Grad or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 1 year of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience
- Administrative or clerical experience. Healthcare experience, call center experience or related
