Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets Focus
Long-Term Temporary Opportunity with Potential for Temp-to-Hire
Location: San Dimas
Hybrid schedule available after training
Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $40-45 per hour
We are partnering with a stable and established company seeking a Senior Accountant with strong fixed assets experience and advanced Excel skills to join their growing accounting team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large data sets, reconciling complex information, and taking ownership of fixed asset accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle fixed asset accounting including asset setup, transfers, depreciation, disposals, and reclasses
• Prepare fixed asset roll-forward schedules and monthly reconciliations
• Reconcile subledger activity to the general ledger
• Analyze large volumes of financial data and tie supporting documentation to reporting schedules
• Support capital project accounting and project close-outs
• Partner cross-functionally to improve asset tracking and reporting processes
• Review JD Edwards contract setups and identify process improvement opportunities
• Assist with ongoing accounting operations and reporting initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on fixed assets and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and managing large data sets
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) highly preferred
• Public company experience is a plus
• SQL knowledge preferred but not required
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
