Interim Accountant (Construction Industry Experience Required))
Location: Fully Onsite, Orange, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
Pay: $75,000–$85,000
We’re hiring an Interim Accountant for a stable company in the construction industry. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day accounting and month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations
- Support month-end close process
- Handle WIP and cost of sales tracking
- Process AP: invoice entry, documentation review, and approvals
- Maintain vendor files and W-9s
- Manage AR: apply rent payments and follow up as needed
- Create monthly billing for rent
- Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities
- Deliver clean, accurate reporting packages to ownership
Requirements:
- Construction industry experience required (including WIP and cost of sales)
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with month-end close and full-cycle accounting
- High attention to detail and ability to manage repeatable processes
