Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, lighting systems, devices, and building equipment.
- Troubleshoot and support production controls, automation components, and electronic systems.
- Diagnose and repair transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, VFDs, and control circuits.
- Maintain and service building lighting, task lighting, parking lot lighting, emergency lights, and energy management-controlled systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical utilities and equipment (480V or less).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to ensure proper installation and repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory records.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized manner.
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications
- Completed Electrical Apprenticeship Program; minimum 5 years of industrial/commercial electrical experience.
- Valid driver's license and applicable electrical certifications/licenses required.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage, fire alarm, voice/data systems, motor controls, and logic control systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in basic math, electrical calculations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
