Supply Backorder Management Analyst
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Pay: $25-$35/hr.
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about solving supply chain challenges? Our client is seeking a Supply Backorder Management Analyst to ensure timely parts availability, optimize inventory processes, and maintain exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll collaborate with procurement, vendors, and operational teams to resolve backorders, improve efficiency, and influence key supply chain KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review dealer backorder reports daily, taking corrective action and providing accurate ETAs
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify alternative solutions for urgent backorders
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, customs, pricing, sales, and PDC teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Develop and refine SOPs; train employees to strengthen supply chain processes
- Support management with KPI reporting, executive summaries, and backorder resolution updates
- Escalate urgent supply issues, expedite orders, and drive continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in inventory management or related supply chain functions
- Experience with inventory planning, supply chain operations, and backorder resolution
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced); familiarity with MS Access/SQL, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work across teams and directly with vendors and OEs
- Flexible, responsive, and able to adapt to dynamic business needs
- Minimal travel (up to 10%)
