Product Engineer - Chelsea, MI | $42.97/hr. | 3rd Shift
Join our team as a Product Engineer supporting chassis dynamometers, SHEDs, analyzers, and emissions testing equipment. Work alongside engineers, technicians, and mechanics to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize test cells while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Pay: $42.97/hr. | Shift: 3rd Shift (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM) | Location: Chelsea, MI
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain emissions lab test equipment.
- Perform QC, calibration, and data validation for test compliance.
- Support new test cell integration and efficiency improvement projects.
- Analyze test results and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and technicians in a team-oriented lab environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
- 2 years' experience with automotive emissions testing equipment (dynamometers, analyzers, PLCs, data acquisition).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Preferred: 5 years in emissions testing labs, experience with ETAS/INCA, HORIBA software, PEMS/RDE, and particulate measurement.
