Our client, a global consumer products company, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to support the packaging development team. This role will focus on data collection, specification creation, documentation management, and packaging testing support. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure packaging data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

Responsibilities
- Collect packaging data including weights, dimensions, materials, volumes, and pack-out configurations following internal procedures
- Analyze and interpret packaging data received from external suppliers against internal requirements
- Populate and maintain data within Excel spreadsheets, specifications, and internal systems
- Read and interpret technical packaging drawings and supplier specifications and translate them into internal documentation
- Create and maintain BOM structures, component specifications, and finished good specifications within the product lifecycle management system
- Organize and maintain packaging component and finished good samples
- Prepare samples and create test requests for packaging qualification labs
- Support lab technicians in conducting packaging quality tests, documenting results, and completing test reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 2 years of experience in packaging engineering or packaging development
- Experience within consumer goods, cosmetics, or related manufacturing industries is preferred
- Experience with packaging specifications, documentation systems, or lifecycle management tools
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external suppliers
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and data
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with CAD or technical drawings
Preferred Skills
- Experience within consumer goods, cosmetics, or related manufacturing industries is preferred
Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: $38–$48/hour
Salary : $38 - $48
