What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Inspector position at Advantage Technical?
Job Location: Cockeysville, MD
Hourly Rate: Up to $21hr depending on experience.
Hours: 1st Shift
Job Summary:
- We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in the Cockeysville / Hunt Valley, MD area for a Final Inspector with experience using inspection tools/equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and volt meters.
- As a quality inspector in final inspection, you will work on a range of inspection and shipping tasks.
- Inspection preparation: Peeling shrink-wrap or stickers from cells.
- Conducting tests on battery performance (open current voltage measurements).
- Shipping: Prepare and package batteries for shipment according to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintaining quality control procedures and standards for battery production and shipment.
- Managing documentation related to quality control.
- Performing visual and physical inspections and measurements of batteries and battery components to detect defects or deviations from specifications.
- Supporting the investigation of quality incidents and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Coordinating with project management to ensure shipping schedule is understood and met.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and volt meters.
- Able to interpret visual standards.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering standards.
- Ability to navigate through basic spreadsheets and other computer programs.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. from the floor to chest height.
- Ability to spend long periods of time sitting or standing.
- Battery experience is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder - "Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including US citizenship or Green Card Holder to be considered for this role.
