What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Advantage Technical?
Pay Rate: $33.00/hour
High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software (CATIA, Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, G-code, tooling, and precision measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes
- Create and optimize CNC programs for complex machined components
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Perform machine setups, tooling selection, and fixture design
- Verify dimensions and quality using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed
- Calculate speeds, feeds, and machining requirements for various materials
- Maintain equipment and follow preventive maintenance procedures
- Follow all quality and safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Manual dexterity required for handling tools, parts, and measuring equipment
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing machinery
