Land Development Project Manager:
Position Type: Direct Hire
Position Location: Rochester Hills, MI
Position Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 (Depending on Experience) Bonus
Position Schedule: Mon-Fri, hybrid availability (3 days in office per week; after completion of probation period)
Responsibilities:
- Manage civil site development projects
- Lead a team of engineers and designers on the projects
- Manage projects to a profit while meeting all deadlines with quality.
- Maintain and expand client relationships
- Actively participate in the development of business from existing and new clients, and develop and write proposals for new projects
- Selling the services offered by the department as outlined in the Growth Plan Developed for this Market or as directed by the Director of the department or the President.
- May organize and conduct presentations and interviews for procuring new clients, develop workload forecasting documents, and organize a constructive workload schedule to manage all projects to the budget and schedule of delivery dictated by the contract.
- Represents Spalding DeDecker at networking events, conferences, public meetings, and within the community
- Provides mentorship and training for junior staff
- Actively recruit new hires for the team as well as manage and develop existing team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Higher Education is a plus
- Professional engineering license in the State of Michigan
- 5 years of experience specific to land development projects (Required); 10 years preferred
- Ability to work independently as a project manager and as part of our land development group
- Work in an office environment
- Attend client meetings and travel by car and/or plane if the project requires it
- Perform project site visits
