CNC Machinist Programmer

Staffmark is hiring a CNC Machinist Programmer in Bossier City, LA! Join our precision manufacturing team and play a key role in producing high-quality components while working with advanced CNC machinery.

Pay: $20-$30/hour, based on experience


Shift: Day shift

What You'll Do:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines for milling, turning, or multi-axis operations.


• Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Edgecam, Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent).


• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to ensure precise production.


• Perform test runs, inspect first articles, and adjust programs to meet tolerances.


• Monitor operations for tooling, speed, and feed adjustments.


• Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized workspace.


• Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and production staff to optimize processes.


• Document programs, setups, and tooling lists for repeat jobs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational machining training preferred.


• 3-5 years CNC machining experience, including at least 2 years in programming.


• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.


• Hands-on experience with lathes, mills, and multi-axis machines (4/5-axis experience a plus).


• Strong blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.


• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for extended periods.


• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, API, OSHA, and continuous improvement methods.
