Position Title: IT Technician
Division: Advancia Government Services
Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO
Position Summary:
The IT Technician will be responsible for providing IT and Audio Visual (AV) technical support both deskside and in training rooms by maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems and assisting in the implementation and management of IT infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems and supports users in resolving technical issues. Position contingent on contract award.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all computer hardware and software components are compatible, IA compliant, operational and ready for training to interface with users currently installed software and hardware products to preclude system conflicts and malfunctions. The IT Technician shall install any missing software for training
- Will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported to the help desk, while documenting steps and resolutions
- Will be responsible for inputting worklog into help desk system
- Performing regular maintenance on classroom technology and AV equipment, including exchanging or replacing components with government provided parts
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Degree in relevant discipline highly preferred
- 2 years prior experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to complete all required government training as needed
- Ability to complete and maintain all required certificates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
- Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
- Most of the work is performed in-doors
- Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
- Requires standing for periodically
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
