About our position
ASI has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative to work with our global sales team to develop target accounts for prospecting. Through outbound calling and emails, the BDR will research, cultivate, and qualify inbound leads and set meetings designed to generate new opportunities for the sales team. Competitive base salary with the potential to earn $12k - $30k in commissions after successful achievement of BDR goals and performance metrics.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with sales and marketing leadership to develop target accounts for prospecting.
- Following up, cultivating, and qualifying in-bound leads for the sales team, and generating new opportunities, through outbound calling and email.
- Researching inbound leads and target accounts to add key contacts to CRM system.
- Maintaining data integrity in CRM system through data cleanup.
- Achieving meeting goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Continuing to grow and increase product knowledge and sales skills.
- Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
What we want you to have
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong drive and a determined sales approach.
- Experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot and/or iMIS).
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales quotas, preferred.

Compensation
Compensation for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s skills, experience, training, certifications, education, geographic location, business needs, and internal equity. For candidates located in Alexandria, VA or Austin, TX, the current estimated compensation range for this role is $45,000-$50,000 variable compensation up to $30,000. Compensation may vary for candidates in other locations within the United States.
