POSITION SUMMARY: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for greeting patients, checking them in and out, collecting payments, and performing general administrative support to ensure smooth front desk operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Check in patients, verify demographics and insurance information, and update records as needed.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as requested.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Assist with administrative projects and clerical tasks as assigned.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
