Key Responsibilities
- Review healthcare professional (HCP) engagements across multiple therapeutic areas to ensure alignment with company policies and approved business plans.
- Support cross-border engagement review and disclosure processes to maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Advise compliance leadership on HCP activities, utilization, spend, and associated risks.
- Track and monitor compliance with state drug price transparency and representative licensure requirements.
- Document and stay informed on federal and state fraud and abuse enforcement actions.
- Respond to compliance inquiries and maintain guidance resources for the business.
- Assist in the development of enterprise compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Lead initiatives to optimize policy accessibility and searchability, including leveraging AI tools.
- Provide additional support to the compliance team as needed.
- 4-7 years of legal and/or compliance experience in the life sciences industry, in-house or at a firm supporting life sciences clients.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with the PhRMA Code or AdvaMed Code regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. pharmaceutical regulations, including the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act, and Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA).
- Familiarity with federal and state aggregate spend reporting laws and requirements.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance, identify and mitigate business risk, and provide practical guidance to stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, writing, communication, organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
