Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing process — from spend analysis and supplier evaluation to contract negotiation and award.
- Develop and recommend strategies and tactics that deliver optimal business results and align with company objectives.
- Partner with the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Contract Management teams to ensure seamless execution and ongoing compliance.
- Operate within client’s Preferred Supplier Programs, following established policies, procedures, and sourcing tools.
- Develop, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), performance metrics, and acceptance criteria.
- Plan and manage major RFx events, facilitating structured evaluation and selection processes.
- Conduct supply market analyses and review procurement data to inform category strategies.
- Support business teams in identifying and transitioning to new suppliers as needed.
- Monitor and manage project baselines to ensure alignment with defined scope, budget, and timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of business experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in commercial or R&D sourcing.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
- Strong background in project management, vendor dashboards, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Experience managing relationships with senior-level stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets, synthesize insights, and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including sales and marketing operations for new drug launches.
- Robust knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial sourcing categories and associated strategies.
- Ability to evaluate business situations from multiple perspectives while balancing stakeholder needs and organizational value.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker who can anticipate trends, assess implications, and develop actionable sourcing plans for future needs.
