We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, Connecticut. Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and independence
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the occupational therapist
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and share knowledge
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
