Job Overview
The Operations Supervisor, Sports and Entertainment will support the Sports and Entertainment leadership staff though management of event janitorial staff before, during, and after events to ensure all sites maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness. The role will assist in staffing assignments, monitoring performance, responding to operational issues in real time, and working closely with venue management to deliver efficient custodial support in fast-paced environments.
This position requires strong leadership, flexibility in scheduling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management for across multiple locations.
- Oversee and ensure the proper execution of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal, and use of equipment, including gas blowers, floor scrubber, and pressure washers.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleaning protocols are being followed and the facility is maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and address any concerns or requests.
- Provide on-site leadership and support during events, including responding to urgent cleaning or staffing needs.
- Maintain clear communication with operations managers, venue personnel, and event coordinators.
- Complete operational reports, incident documentation, and attendance records accurately and on time.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and reinforcing workplace expectations and customer service standards.
- Address employee concerns, attendance issues, and performance matters professionally and promptly.
- Support emergency response cleaning and special projects as required.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Monitor and enforce safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or the Advanced team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry is preferred.
- Experience working in event venues, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or multi-site operations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of janitorial best practices, cleaning techniques, and equipment usage.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage schedules, tasks, and supplies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions in dynamic situations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to janitorial work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Salary : $70,304 - $72,000
