Workforce Coordinator

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the coordination of workforce education programs

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Special Knowledge/Skills: 

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• General knowledge of computer systems and software applications

Experience:

• Two years experience in relevant position
• Experience in adult education desired

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Identifies partners and collaborators in delivering integrated education training opportunities for adult students.
• Identifies and works with employers to develop and coordinate appropriate workplace educational classes at multiple sites.
• Works with area managers to ensure quality of educational services and overall performance of integrated and workplace-based educational programs.
• Assists the Career Pathways Manager in identifying, adapting and customizing adult educational curricula for all workforce-oriented programs and integrated training opportunities.
• Assists the Career Pathways Mangerin monitoring progress toward the attainment of workforce related outcomes including but not limited to obtaining employment, retaining employment, and making transition to post-secondary education for students who have exited program.
• Develops activities that enhance the ability of former and current students to find jobs, such as campus-based job fairs, promoting third party job fairs or other employment opportunities and internships.
• Assists Career Pathways Manager and Career Navigators in identifying and implementing effective workforce development strategies leading to improvement in workforce outcomes for students.
• Carries out distance education with students for whom distance education is their first or primary educational activity.
• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Director of Adult Education may from time to time assign or delegate.

Salary : $60,230 - $73,903
